The Alabama Turfgrass Association is hosting five Turfgrass RoadShow Seminars in five locations across Alabama again this winter. These popular seminars will be held in Loxley, Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville and Montgomery. Earn pesticide re-certification points and get a quality one-day program on turfgrass management practices from top-industry professionals, researchers and professors. Come join us on the road and register for the seminar in your area.

Suppliers, we will also offer you an opportunity to showcase your company and products at the RoadShow seminars. Tabletop exhibits will be available at each seminar, however space is limited. We will take requests on a first-come, first-serve basis. These sponsorships are $150 per seminar and will include a table, two chairs and two nametags.

We encourage you to bring your entire crew for an economical day of education during your off-season. Complete your registration form and mail it to the ATA office today! We look forward to seeing you on the road!

9:00am FIGURIN’ STUFF OUT: USEFUL CALCULATIONS FOR TURF MANAGERS
Do you know how big your turf area is? How much topdressing sand to order? How much fertilizer or pesticide to buy? How many times you need to fill a sprayer tank to do a given job? We will go over easy ways to do basic calculations that will help every turf manager.

10:00am USING WATER SENSIBLY
This session will discuss how to conserve water, proper use of water gauges and irrigation heads, timing of irrigation and most importantly how to educate the end-user of this green practices.

11:00am CONTROLLING WEEDS WITHOUT BLOWING YOUR BUDGET
Learn how to effectively treat turf for weeds while keeping your herbicide budget in the black. This session will compare new and old herbicides, review application rates and cost-saving methods for effectively controlling weeds.
